
A trained team of job coaches, teaching assistants, and rehabilitation counselors evaluate all potential
job seekers for work skills, work routines, and necessary accommodations.
Participants are assisted with resume development, interviewing, additional skill development, and counseling
both before and during job placement. The Mainstay staff support participants through job interviewing,
arranging transportation, and integrating with co-workers.
If requested by the employer, Mainstay will provide staff specialized in on-site training to assist the
participant and the employer during transition to the workplace environment.
Many job seekers enjoy attending Mainstay's career interest building class called, "Let's Go to Work"
which incorporates a functional learning curriculum providing effective tools and resources utilized in
work search strategies.
Mainstay provides individualized employment support services tailored to your specific needs and situation.
A range of functionally based, integrated work experiences are tailored to your interests. These experiences
take place in settings at various community sites.
Assistance with developing a resume, counseling feedback with appropriate attire and presentation,
interview skill development and counseling for self-esteem building.
Job Development services assist and support you in job seeking. Job Retention services help you to be
successful in your job once you have be placed.
Your counselor will assist you with increasing your work skills and with addressing concerns that come up in the job.
Additional skill training for new tasks, addressing conflict issues or working together with a new boss.
Our training and work placement program, called Supported Employment, is funded by state and federal agencies.
Supported employment provides work functions and jobs tailored to the individual worker.
