Mainstay serves adults 21 years of age and older who are facing barriers to employment.
We help people with disabilities find employment that suits their skill level, ability and interest.
Mainstay assists you with issues related to your employment situation. A job coach will work
with you and your employer to find creative solutions to areas of concern. A Mainstay counselor
can also help you find out about and contact other community resources that may be of interest.
When you start working with us a Mainstay counselor is available to give you and your team detailed
information about all of our services. We help you decide which package of services best meets your needs.
Many of our job seekers enjoy attending Mainstay's career interest building class called, "Let's Go to
Work!" which incorporates a functional learning curriculum providing effective tools used in work search strategies.
You help by telling your job coach about any employment related problems or concerns that arise.
Keep us informed about any "life" changes such as a move to a new residence, major illnesses,
and financial concerns. Keeping us up to date enables Mainstay to provide you with the highest
quality services.
There are also things we expect from you that our experience tells us are important to your employer:
Arrive to work on time and when scheduled.
Whenever you are going to be absent, call your employer before the start of your shift.
Always be neat and clean for work.
When at work, you will treat your supervisor(s) and co-workers with respect.
You will follow the policies and procedures of the company you are working for.
